Gemma qualified as a solicitor in 2009 following successfully completing her training in a legal aid practice in Oxford. Gemma has specialised in family law since qualification and over the past nine years has practiced almost solely in child protection cases. She spent seven years as a Local Authority child care lawyer before joining Griffiths Robertson in May 2019. Since then, her practice has expanded to representing children, parents, grandparents and other family members in public law proceedings. Gemma is an experienced advocate and splits her time between working in the office and representing her clients in Court. She is hugely passionate about her work and is dedicated to ensuring her clients are properly and fairly represented. Having had the experience of working in a Local Authority, Gemma has an excellent understanding of the working practices within Local Authorities and she utilises this in the best interests of her clients. Gemma is regularly instructed by Children’s Guardians and is a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel.
